The Profitable Baker Academy

Turn Your Baking Passion into a Thriving, Fully Booked Business – Join the Academy That’s Helping Bakers Like You Succeed

Build confidence. Create consistency. Grow your business properly.

Running a home baking business shouldn’t feel like constant second-guessing.
And yet, for so many bakers, it does.

Too much information.
Too many opinions.
Too many moments of wondering whether you’re doing things “right”.

The Academy exists to change that.

What the Academy is (and what it isn’t)

The Profitable Baker Academy is an ongoing membership for bakers who want to:

  • build confidence as a business owner

  • make steady progress without burnout

  • learn how to think, decide, and plan properly

  • grow a sustainable business at their own pace

It is not about rushing, scaling for the sake of it, or keeping up appearances online.
It’s about building something solid — with support.

Who the Academy is for

The Academy is for you if:

  • you’re serious about your baking business, even if it still feels messy

  • you want guidance, not pressure

  • you’re done trying to piece everything together alone

  • you value consistency over quick wins

  • you want to feel more confident in your decisions

You don’t need to be “ready” or have it all figured out.
You just need to want to move forward — steadily and deliberately.

About Me

I’m Annie Bennett — business mentor, founder of The Profitable Baker Academy, and someone who deeply believes that bakers deserve more than just “making it work”.

For years, I’ve worked alongside home bakers across the UK, helping them move from hobbyist mode into confident business owner territory — with proper pricing, clear offers, solid systems, and a business that genuinely supports their life.

I don’t teach hustle.
I don’t teach shortcuts.
I teach calm, sustainable growth — built on good decisions, clear thinking, and long-term support.

Everything I create is designed to help you build a business you’re proud of — and one that works for you, not the other way around.

Hear from member Jo….

Here’s how we make it happen – one calm step at a time.

Here’s how it works when you join:

First you can take a tour of the training library and complete your Cake-rriculum audit – so you can see exactly what you’re already good at, and where to focus next. You’ll also get instant access to two standalone courses:
Start Your Own Baking Business (for bakers who are just setting up)
Grow Your Baking Business (for bakers who’ve started, but need next-step support)

Next you can hop into the chat groups – and start getting to know the other bakers inside, so you’ve got support from day one.
Then you can join (or catch up on) weekly live sessions and monthly Q&As – where you can ask all the questions you need and get practical, real-time answers.
Finally, you’ll be laying solid business foundations – which will make long-term, sustainable growth not just possible, but likely.

This isn’t a course to cram. It’s a toolkit to build your business properly – with guidance every step of the way.
Start where you are – and grow from there.

July in The Academy Membership

This month we are looking at branding. And it’s not all about logos and fonts… we are really getting to grips with how to make sure our businesses are seen the way we want them to be seen.

Week 1 — What Does Your Brand Actually Say? Wednesday 1st July, 9.30am

This month we’re starting with an honest look at where your brand is right now. In this session, you’ll work through a guided audit of your current brand presence, your colours, fonts, photography style, and the way you write across different platforms… and ask whether the overall impression you’re giving matches how you actually want to be seen. You’ll finish the session with a clear list of two or three things to focus on improving over the next four weeks.

Week 2 –  Find Your Brand in the Wild Wednesday 8th July, 9.30am

One of the best ways to develop your brand instincts is to start noticing what works, and what doesn’t, in the world around you. This session teaches you how to look at branding with intention: spotting what draws you in, what puts you off, and how to translate those observations into ideas for your own business. If you’re coming to the Brighton Academy Day, this pairs with our brand walk. If you’re joining from home, I’ll give you a simple framework for doing your own version — a high street, a market, or even a scroll through Instagram.

Week 3 – What Are You Actually Selling? Getting Your Message Right Wednesday 15th July, 9.30am

Most bakers can describe what they make. Fewer can articulate why someone should buy it from them specifically… and that’s where messaging comes in. This session is about getting to the heart of what makes your business worth choosing: what you stand for, who you’re really talking to, and what you want people to feel when they come across your brand. We’ll work through how to distil that into clear, consistent language you can use everywhere… your Instagram bio, your enquiry responses, your website, your price list. Get this right and the content becomes much easier to write.

Week 4 –  Saying It Out Loud: Putting Your Message Into Your Content Wednesday 22nd July, 9.30am

Once you know what you want to say, the next step is learning how to say it consistently without it feeling like a script. This session bridges your messaging work from last week into the content you actually put out… Instagram captions, Stories, enquiry replies, and everything in between. We’ll look at how to write in a way that sounds like you, how to talk about your bakes without it feeling salesy, and how to keep showing up with something worth saying even on the weeks when inspiration isn’t there.

Week 5 – 9.30am Hotseat and Q&A Wednesday 29th July, 9.30am

Bring your questions. This session is open and unscripted, a chance to get answers on anything from the month, talk through what you’ve been working on, and get some real-time input on your brand and content. Come with the thing you’ve been sitting on all month and let’s work through it together.

How the Academy fits alongside my other work

Different bakers need different kinds of support.

The Academy is designed for bakers who want:

  • ongoing guidance

  • time to grow into their next level

  • support while they practise making decisions

For bakers who are done circling and want focused clarity and fast decisions, I also offer a small number of VIP Strategy Days.

Neither path is better.
They simply serve different moments.

Charity Support

In joining the academy, you will also be helping Annie with a cause very close to her heart.

She is setting up a CIC, The chronicles of Hope, which will be supporting young adults following a parent’s diagnosis with an incurable illness.

Annie donates a % of profits from the academy into her charity’s funds, enabling her to support more young adults at the time they really need it.

For more details about Annie’s charity work, please visit The Chronicles Of Hope

FAQs

How long do I need to stay in the Academy?

If you join monthly, you’re free to leave at any point — and to return if your business needs more support later.

If you commit to 6 months, you will get a renewal reminder for the next six months, but you are under no obligation to renew.

Is this suitable if my business still feels messy or unfinished?

Yes — that’s exactly when the Academy is most useful. You don’t need a polished brand or a perfect plan. You just need the willingness to build properly, one step at a time.

How much time does the Academy require each week?

There’s no rigid schedule. You’ll have access to training, resources, and support that you can use at your own pace. Most members spend a small amount of time each week applying what’s relevant to where they are right now.

Is this more about mindset or practical business advice?

Both — but always in a grounded, practical way.
You’ll build confidence through clear decisions, better systems, and learning how to run your business with intention, not guesswork.

What makes this different from other memberships or courses?

The Academy is built for sustainable growth.
There’s no pressure to rush, no overwhelm, and no one telling you to do everything at once. You learn how to think like a business owner and build something solid — with support.

Do I need to be full-time or earning a certain amount already?

No. Members are at all stages. What matters most is that you’re serious about your business and want to grow it properly.

How does the Academy fit with your VIP Strategy Days?

Most bakers start in the Academy to build their foundations and confidence.
When you want faster clarity and sharper decisions, VIP Strategy Days are available as a separate option.
